TEX!!! I love him :)

October 18th was Tex's 1st Birthday! I cant believe it. Time flies. I bought him a mummy dog for his bday and man he has already chewed it up. He loves it! Let me just tell you about this dog.

My awesome aunt and uncle, Veeann and Matt Mogle, had 2 golden retrievers who had some puppies. Thanksgiving was at their house last year. The pups were a big hit with all the kids and family. Oh man I was going nuts. They were just so damn cute!!! Taylor had just lost his 10 year old jack russell (while I was doggysitting him while taylor was in Texas) so we were trying to find him a new dog. I sent him pics of these pups. He had not come up with me that day, gotta love marital fights right before family get togethers. LOL. Anyway, I sent him pics of these puppies and he got all excited. I have always wanted a golden retriever. I suggested we get him one of these pups. They would give us a deal on one too. I started to look through the liter to see if there was one that stuck out. They were all so cute and fluffy! The determining point was which ones were spoken for and which ones were not. We wanted a boy too. There was one boy left! He ended up being the one I was eyeing all afternoon anyway. Taylor came up and we picked out a pup! When they were ready, we came back up and picked up our "clearance puppy". Thanks Matt & Veeann.

This dog is the best. He cuddles, he plays, he fetches, sits, shakes, lays down, and pants like you wouldn't believe. He is AMAZING with Jax. He follows him around the house, wrestles with him, plays soccer with him, plays fetch, etc. He could play fetch all day every day. He loves it. We will look out in the yard and he will be playing catch with himself. He tosses his rope or his tennis ball around and will get after it. His color is AMAZING. He is a perfect mix of his mom and dad. Not as dark as Addie but not as light as Beckam. He isn't as little as Addie but not as monsterous as Beckam. He is a perfect mix. He is beautiful! Ice cubes are his fave. He will hear me getting ice for a drink and he runs in the kitchen and waits for me to throw him one. I love it! He makes a great pillow. We will all be watching a movie and Taylor will lay on him instead of using a pillow or the couch. Tex will lay at or on your feet. Chillin in the front yard is his favorite thing to do!

He has seen his sister Jade lay on the couch like she is a princess and he is starting to do the same. He isn't quite as graceful as her...lol! He is such a goofball. Oh we love love love him! He will wake us up in the morning. Either with his loud panting and constant pacing the house or he will lick our face. When the alarm goes off, he is up and at 'em. Early bird dog! Jade will sleep in like she is a teenage boy. And if you dare mess her sleep up, she gives you the evil eye. Spoiled dog!

Tex, Jade....we love you dogs! I was never this much of a dog person but man I love my dogs. Even if there are days I want to give them away.

Wedding Photography

Mine and Taylor's Wedding will be next year, not sure when, but for sure next year. I have already started looking at everything. Any ideas/suggestions to vendors, please let me know. The item I am currently researching is PHOTOGRAPHY. Please list your wedding photographer and any other known photographers that did a great job. They will be the ones to do my bridals and all the professional pictures on the big day. Comment their information - websites are great, phone numbers, locations, etc. Thanks for your help :)

CUTE Book!!!

My mom gave me a couple of cute books for my birthday. One of them is for Jax too. It is called "You Are Special". It is SOOOO cute. If you haven't read it yet, you should. I cried, of course!

Spring Fling/Girly BBQ!

Okay Girls! I have an event in planning process. Here's the information. Email me @ ashton.welch@yahoo.com your contact information. I'm not gonna ask again so if you snooze, you lose. I will be sending out invitations for this event and other ones to come (graduation luau, summer swim party, and more).

This SPRING FLING / GIRLY BBQ! is planned for Saturday May 16. There is going to be Layers Clothing, Mary Kay, and Scentsy there. It will be a pot luck BBQ. I will be providing most of the food and doing an actual BBQ! There will be the regular hamburgers and hot dogs for the kids...and you too if you want some. I will be doing chicken stickers! Yumm! This is for all ladies, mom's, not mom's, etc. Just come have some fun! It will be outside so the kids can play or if you would all rather we can do a Gal Getaway For A Day and leave the kids with the guys!

This is in the process of planning and its going to be a BLAST!!!

Long Shorts. The weather has been allowing me to wear them again. They are my fave.

Aaarrrggghhh Matey!

So Jax is into acting like a pirate every now and again. I went up north Saturday to take my mom to work and stopped at Old Navy on my way home. I saw a shirt for Jax that was perfect....it has a pirate on it and it says "What AAARRGGGHHH you lookin at?" Its cute.

Taylor put a bandana on Jax had him act like a pirate! Then we watched Pirates of the Caribbean. It was a fun theme night! They played like they were pirates too.

Laci & Nayvi!

Last Thursday, I was able to see one of my bestest friends and her new baby! Laci and Nayvi Chlarson. I loved seeing both of them. They live far away :( Laci has been there for me through so much. Laci, thank you so much. I don't know what I would do without you. You are truly a blessing in my life. Thank you for letting me hold and feed Nayvi. She is a DOLL! She is just absolutely beautiful and perfect. You are such a cute mom. I wish we lived closer to each other so I could see you both and Clint more often. Thank you for everything Laci! I love you!

Badgerette Review

This last Thursday, Kathleen (my drill coach at Snow) had her last review. She invited all of the alumni to the review. It was good to see all my old dancin pals.


These 2 I miss so much! Whitney Soper (aka TINA) and Patricia (aka PAT). They are both from my 2nd year. They both left after the 1st semester. I missed them tons. Love you girls!

Ashley, me, and Kiley - the CHOPS! we all cut our hair. We use to all have long hair. It was soo good to see these 2 girls. Both years with these 2. Love them.

Taylor Stapley, Sarah Hunter, Tiffany, Sarah Perry, ME, Ashley Shippen, Kiley, Lindee Frye, Brooke....these are all girls from my 1st year on Snow's Drill.

I love them!

Jade is the biggest lap dog ever. She loves to snuggle. Taylor gives me such a hard time about her but look at who is snuggling with her :) I love it. They are so cute!

This Last Week

Well nothing too exciting has been going on. The weather has been AWESOME. Work has been crazy busy. I did get my hair chopped and colored blonde. Dramatic change. Not sure if I am use to it yet.

Jax has been ridin his bike like crazy.

Its been fun to just open the windows while I am cooking or cleaning and let Jax play outside. The dogs have been out more. Jade looks funny with dirt all over her face.

Taylor had family come in at the beginning of the week. He went up to his uncle's house in North Ogden area and stayed for a couple days. This is what it looks like from his back deck. NICE!!

Snowboarding @ Sundance

Sunday, Taylor and I went snowboarding @ Sundance. It was a beautiful sunny day. We had lots of fun but I didn't do too hot. Let me just tell ya that I completely suck at getting off of the lifts. The first time I got off, I fell HARD on my left butt cheek aka my ischium. My leg tingled for a little bit. That didn't start off my day too well but I got back up and kept trying. I do okay and then i get going fast. It scares me so I slow down. I pretty much rode my board horizontally every time. My knees definitely hurt. We tried going on another trail and ended up in BLACK zones. There was a trail that would take you around all of them but it was flat. I kept falling so i finally said screw it!!! I took my board off and walked until it got steeper so I could have momentum. But I did have fun. We ate some good chili and it was nice to get away for a day. The sun was out, wind felt good, and it was just so pretty up there. Taylor, thank you for being so patient with me. He could have gone about 5x as many runs as we did because he was waiting for me. He is good at it. I love you babe.

After Work

Yesterday, I took a couple of pics of me and my lovey after work. I love him so much. He is so hott and sweet. Kind of like a cinnamon roll! Haha. I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. They were GOOD! We were making faces last night while i was cooking dinner. I don't really know what we were pouting about. Maybe because neither of us wanted to do the dishes (I did them this morning).

Jax can pick his boogers with his nose. That's pure talent!!

last night, we went to my mom's house and hung out with the fam. My dad had to work last night so he wasn't there. it was still fun. i picked up a pizza and made my mom her favorite cake, german chocolate! we goofed off and chilled. it was nice. my family is definitely a bunch of goobers. that is why i love them!
