Potty Training

The latest here at the Welch/Leake home is that Jax is doing pretty good with the potty training. He is going in by himself and everything. At first, he would sit to pee and poo but now is standing like the big guys! It is the cutest thing ever.

I had heard "it will just happen". I didn't believe it. I though for sure that he would be in middle school with a diaper on still. But he just said to me one day "i don't want a diaper mom. i want my underwear." He just all of sudden was telling me he had to go potty and now he will just go on his own. I am so proud of him!!! He gets nervous at other people's houses though. The first day he wore his underwear to the sitter, he held it in. She put a diaper on him for his nap and he let it flow. She said he woke up with a loaded diaper. So, its been a little interesting that way. I don't want him to get a bladder infection. He is doing better though. He goes at my mom's. He might do better at the sitter now that he doesn't have to ask for her to lift him. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

All else said, it does JUST happen. Its crazy but true.
